I'm going back to around 1968 or 1969 in the U.K. As a kid, it was Grandstand or the World of Sport, depending which side had the motorbike scrabbling and stock car racing. Then the wrestling and then the football results. Then came shows like The Monkees, Thunderbirds, and Doctor Who (Patrick Troughton by then)
I wanted the world to be Saturday forever. No school and the world of retro sixties t.v. forever. Outside was the hussle and bussle of London with stall market places etc. The world seemed so uncomplicated to the kiddie me. Only on Saturdays though.
