England win Ashes in Oz

England did the buisness out in good old Oz and retained the Ashes in the ultimate cricket foe's back yard. The 2010–11 Ashes series was played in Australia as part of the England cricket team's tour of Australia during the 2010–11 cricket season.

Five Tests were played from 25 November 2010 to 7 January 2011. And we Poms won the series 3–1 and retained the Ashes, having won the previous series in 2009 by two Tests to one. This latest triumph was a very prestigious victory for England and against one of the world's best cricketing nations and our most fierce rivals. If you are outside of England and Australia, this is a real big one - nothing can compare.

It's like England v Scotland in football - there is nothing higher concerning bragging rites for the year. To win the ashes in Australia is fabulous and England will have all this until the next Ashes. Could they do it a third time on the trot?
