When Did They Stop Selling This?

What ever happened to the Bar of Six chocolate bar? I can remember the old retro British adverts on the tv for this Cadbury brand. I remember them being sold in the shops. They are prominent in my mind's eye among the selection of various chocolate bars that were sold in newsagents and sweet shops back then in the day. Then I realised that this chocolate bar is no longer sold in our shops anymore. At least I've not seen one in ages. When did it go? I'm sure they have not been sold for a number of years.

Of course, the big bags like this were sold in cinema kiosks. In the shop, as kids, we bought them in tubes of wrapped sweets. These sticks came in four flavours. Orange, Lemon, Lime and Strawberry. This was in retro Brit days before the name change came about.

Oh, the good old days!

Edward Heath and Harold Wilson making a complete pig's ear of it all. Power cuts, three-day weeks, Miner strikes, car strikes, rail strikes, dustman strikes.

However, the tv shows and the sweets were second to none. 

Lady Making Various Fudges

As Carole and I left Salisbury Cathedral we entered the shopping centre under an old stone medieval archway. Immediately to our left was a quaint old fudge shop with a lady making fudge upon a work table. We looked in and watched the woman at work - making the fudge for her special fudge shop. I managed to get a quick snap of her in process and preparation. 

She was selling a variety of flavours and seemed to have a prime spot where a steady stream of tourists, leaving the grand cathedral, could not fail to notice the goods on offer. We of course, went in a bought some fudge. After all, it would have been rude not to. :D
