Beware of Reality TV. (A lady and her makeover)

I stumbled upon this story of Julie Davis and was sucked in by her quest because of the interesting presentation and, what appeared to be, a wonderful transformation. I thought it was compelling TV - a kind story we like to see. However, as I looked up more things to do this blog, I came across a much darker story concerning Julie Davis and her ordeal.

The two links below are about this British Lady called Julie Davis who was just 43 years of age when she had a makeover on a reality TV show. Due to her job as a child minder she took up to 12 children a day to and from school. She had a lot of age lines on her face and looked older then her 43 years. A team of beauticians come in to whisk Julie Davis off for a makeover. The results looked remarkable at first, but after a time it emerged that the lady was in considerable discomfort due to work done upon her teeth.

Although the cosmetic work looks stunning, people should look up Julie Davis of Ten Years Younger TV show and read the afterwards aspect of her journey.

The first link shows the glamorous side of Julie's TV journey and the second link is a Daily Mail news article about Julie's regrets a year-plus after the TV show.
