There are so many images of HMS Thunder Child (the fictional ship from H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds.) I enjoyed the story so much, it blew my mind away. I also loved the musical adaptation by Jeff Wayne. In the musical there is a song for Thunder Child describing the ironclad's gallant action against three Martian tripods in order to save a paddle steamer full of fleeing refugees.
If you have never listened to the musical by Jeff Wayne; please do so.
If you have never read the book by H.G. Wells; please do so.
If you have never done any of these things; you are denying yourself so much enjoyment.
Next brings me to the humble effort of The Last Days of Thunder Child. (An adaptation from War of the Worlds and about Thunder Child leading up to the event from the image in this blog.
