The pavement artist had obviously positioned his dimensional approach for people coming out of the station entrance during rush hour for maximum effect of commuters catching the art at the correct angle. The image was of a set of dank looking cellar stairs leading down into some dark abode.
Everyone coming out of the station had to look twice because it looked as though you were approaching another subway - a dark and sinister one. It was a splendid piece of 3D artwork. The artist had a hat close by with coinage in, and I had to throw some loose change in too as were several people. It was a dazzling, effective, and very eye-catching thing.
