H.G. Wells thrilled readers of the Victorian age with his science fiction novel about alien invaders inside tripod fighting machines. These unearthly creatures came from Mars and decided Earth should be colonized and humanity destroyed.
In one paticular episode of the story, a small ironclad costal defense vessel of the Royal Navy makes a full on attack of three Martian tripods. The ship is called H.M.S. Thunder Child. There is now an adaptation of the original story that centres around the crew of Thunder Child leading up to her dramatic confrontation with the Martians. This pastiche story is called: The Last Days of Thunder Child.
It is on sale in USA but will also be on sale in the EU from August 2016.
