To say this was an extremely surreal story would be putting it mildly. But then one would expect that from Batman. I'm not really a comic fan. However, my job involves clearing out rubbish. In a box was some comic books and I saw this. Rather than dump it, I took it home. I have to say, I was compelled by the fabulous artwork and the dark Gothic world of the lunatic asylum where the story is set. I would describe it as a Gothic horror story. It was superb in a gorgeously twisted way. I would recommend it to any comic buff or horror fan.
