We were walking back from the river Nene along Creek Fen when we saw this little duel in the skies. It was high up and quite a distance away, but we managed to get a couple of good shots.
The tame buzzard that I believe is owned by a falconer returned yesterday. It keeps flying over then returns to a terrace row of houses. This is where the falconer who owns the Common Buzzard must live. There is someone there who owns owls, including an eagle owl. Perhaps he has a buzzard too.
The crows intimidate the buzzard on many an occasion. They are smaller then the buzzard but seem to drive it out of the skies over the fens when it tries to patrol the area. It is quite a spectacle because the crow will swoop down upon the buzzard constantly until the bird of prey vacates the area.
