If Jimi Hendrix was alive today.

Jimi Hendix was one of the all time great guitarists and will be remembered the way Mozart, Beethoven and other historical greats are seen.

It is strange because as a kid, I can remember old people speaking in very judgemental terms of the rock stars of this time. Then the other day my wife's mother was down to visit. She is 71 and her younger brother, who died in the USA in the 90s decade was a roady who worked on the stages for the rock stars of the 60s. Among them was Jimi Hendrix and she said she had spoken with him on the telephone when he called for her brother at home in Hadliegh, Essex, England.

It seemed strange that a 71 year old would speak kindly of rock stars because my child hood memories of older people concerning such icons was one of scorn. Then I realised if Jimi was alive today, he would be in his 70s. The 71 year old mother in law was also in her 20s when Jimi phoned for her roady brother.
