Marillion - Slainte Mhath

Great contemporary rock band Marillion. This track is from when lead singer 'Fish' was the front man. Fish was educated at Dalkeith High School. Scotsman, Fish came to the public attention in 1981 with the British rock group Marillion. The band achieved chart success in the UK with various hits from 1985 to 1987.

On occasion, Fish has been compared to Peter Gabriel, lead singer of Genesis in the early seventies.

When I first heard them, I thought they sounded a little similar to Genesis, but the signature of their music and lyrics is very unique and distinct, once listened too.

According to Fish, his stage nickname originates from the amount of time he spent in the bathtub.
