Soprano Susanna Rigacci in Ennio Morricone's The Ecstasy of Gold.

Susanna Rigacci comes from Stockholm in Sweden and came to be known internationally in the 80s when she went to Italy. She is a great soprano and sounds terrific as you will know from seeing the above clip.

When Susanna Rigacci sings, it feels like living forever - flying through eternity and absorbing more and more wonders - always exceeding - forever moving. She is sublime in this wonderful piece by Ennio Morricone.

It is called The Ecstasy of Gold and was a theme used in the western: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and it was played when the Mexican bandit starts to run around the huge circular graveyard, searching for one name of a grave that contains a fortune in gold.
