When I was younger, I could walk around the book shops in London for ages. Especially the science fiction ones. I used to love the front covers with the splendid artwork. Sometimes I would buy a pulp sci/fi paperback on the strength of a front cover. I can hear all the more avid readers gasp in horror, and never judge a book by its cover. Well, I admit; never was a more truer thing said. Some of the stories were awful, but they had good pictures on the front cover. However, some were good. Above is a selection of fine sci/fi paperback covers. I still enjoy looking at them and they do bring back memories of my younger and happily naive days.
