Sorry, but I'm on a Sci/fi retro bad guys trip at the moment because I have found some wonderful art clips from various artists. This is another 50 second clip that is a prelude to a story I remember watching as a kid. William Hartnell (the first Doctor Who) had collapsed in the Tardis and metamorphoses into Patrick Troughton (the second Doctor Who). His companions, Ben and Polly left the Tardis with him on a planet called Vulcan. They come across a crashed space ship and an archaeological research team from Earth. The crashed ship is full of dormant Daleks and one of the scientists thinks he can bring them back to life, much to the Doctor's dismay. The usual happens with the Daleks going on a free for all open season on humans, until the Doctor foils them. I always remember Ben kicking a crumpled Dalek and muttering that it was the last of them. They get into the Tardis and disappear off. The crumpled Dalek's eye stalk looks upwards, letting the audience know; they would be back again. Sadly this is one of the Doctor Who stories missing from the archives. This small animation clip from Fraust66 is a very good prelude to the Dalek ship crashing. Terrific stuff and it takes me back to my kiddie world in the 60s, when the Daleks were every little boys favorite pantomime villains.
Scrapbook things on many topics. Retro Brit continues adding blogs. New and growing interest every month.
