Longpigs - On And On

This is a strange Brit flick called FACE (1997.) It stared Robert Carlyle as an aged ex-socialist called Ray. He has become a bank robber after the death of socialism in Maggie Thatcher's Britain. He meets up with a gang of mates who are no more then a bunch of pathetic wannabes. There is a sad irony about the story and the characters. It is compelling because of these sad and misguided, over the hill dreamers. One of the character's Stevie is a little backward and loves comics and fantasy books. He looks up to Ray as a big brother figure. The music in this story is rather good - especially the track, On And On by the Longpigs.
